Everyone knows my extreme (and justifiable) fear of flying creatures. Having said that, I find this blue heron that comes to visit our property absolutely fascinating. That I am so intrigued by this very large bird makes little sense to others, but is perfectly logical to me: I can SEE this thing coming from a long way off.That, and it never flys too close to my head.
